Sharepoint / One Drive sync tool
Yu need to have the active OneDrive sync tool to makes sure that any changes to Sharepoint and OneDrive directories that are synched to your PC or Laptop update to the central folder locations.
If this is not working correctly you may have issues with data not being shared correctly between you and your team.
Both OneDrive (your personal documents) and Sharepoint (shared with teams, people inside or outside the org etc) use the same tool to make sure that your details are up to date. It is aprogram that site in the background, but can be seen on your taskbar.
There are different settings to see it, you may have a small arrow on your taskbar to see them, or they may be displayed as smaller icons on your taskbar straight away. the OneDrive sync tool is a cloud, either blue if active, or grey if it is not active.
IF THE ICON IS GREY - You are not signed in to sync.
Right click on the grey cloud and you will get the option to sign in. You need to enter your Microsoft account details to proceed.
IF THE ICON IS BLUE BUT WITH A RED CROSS - Some details have not synched.
right click on the blue cloud and it will show you a list of the issues that it currently has. These do vary, but often relate to different versions of a document existing. Follow the instructions to resolve these.
