Paxton - Card Association (North)
Net2 Card Association (North)
In order to associate a card with a user in Paxton (Door access control system) open the following program.
This will be available on all IT admin devices. If not, go here \\redfern-file\it$\Software\Program Installers\Net2
Or this link to get the latest version
https://www.paxton-access.com/systems/net2/access-control-software/
***NOTE – If installing software fresh, ensure it matches this edition (Net2 Lite) as shown below and you don’t install the server version as this will install a SQL database and could confuse the already active Net2 server (BRA-PAX-01)***
Once you open Net2 Access Control, the following screen will appear
BRA-PAX-01 usually gets detected automatically and you can double click but if not, manually type out the hostname (as shown)
Press OK and type in the username and password. This is listed in KeePass/asset register. There’s currently only one account (System Engineer) but no reason an additional user cant be created.
The following screen will appear. Select Finder User (This is providing the user already exists – see other solution for creating users)
Type in name of user and then double click when they appear.
Press Close on the search window
The users property window will appear. Select Tokens
Place card on card reader.
***NOTE Make sure light is blinking on reader. If it isn’t, reseat USB cable. If that doesn’t work then try closing and reopening Net2 Access Control***
The following window will appear
Select Yes to associate the card against the user.
***NOTE Wiggle the card about a bit if nothing appears. If still no luck, card could be a dud or the reader isn’t blinking/active as mentioned above***
