Create a company in Freshdesk
Creating a company gives you the ability to run reports or write rules that will apply to all people in that company. It will pick up all contacts that have previously sent emails with a specific email domain.
Team Leaders can set up new companies in Freshdesk. Please follow these steps to do so.
Click on New from the top menu options and the New Company.
Enter the company name.
Enter a description if you want. It is a good idea to add the servicing team in here so it is known by other teams.
Enter the email domains for the company. This is how clients are associated to the company, but there are a few things to bear in mind.
- Email domains are what appear after the @ sign
- You can add as many domain as you want for each company
- Some have small variations in the domains. Make sure you to add as many as you can to pick all of the clients up
- An email domain can only be associated to one company
When you add the domains you do not have to add the @ sign. After entering the domain click enter and it will add it as a unique value.
Once you've added all of the domains click Save.
